Who we are

OMCkit is operated from County Cork, Ireland. For anything about your data, email [email protected].

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we store your email address, the page you signed up from, the date, and whether you confirmed your address. We collect nothing else about you.

To understand which pages are useful, we count visits with a privacy-friendly analytics tool hosted on our own server. It uses no cookies, does not store your IP address and does not follow you across other websites. We only see totals, such as the number of visits to a guide.

Why, and on what basis

We use your address only to tell you when OMCkit opens. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). We first send you one email asking you to confirm your address; until you click the link, you are not on the list.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in our emails, or by writing to us.

Our visit counts rely on our legitimate interest in improving the site (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) and involve no personal profile.

Where your data is kept, and how it is protected

Your address is encrypted (AES-256) before it is stored in a database on our own server in the Netherlands, in the European Union. The site is served over HTTPS only.

Confirmation and announcement emails are sent through an email delivery service acting on our behalf, under a data processing agreement. We do not sell or share your address with anyone else.

How long we keep it

Addresses that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days. Confirmed addresses are kept until OMCkit opens and we have told you, then for at most 12 months, unless you become a customer. We delete your address sooner if you ask.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
